Professor Michael Flood on pro-feminist men, gender activism, and working with men
There are not many men who decide to undertake gender studies(at the time “women’s studies”), work in a rape crisis center, and build a career that includes domestic violence advocacy. Professor Michael Flood has taken up this challenge and Kelsey is not over-selling it when she says his work is prolific! We in the School of Justice are very privileged to have Michael as a colleague who cares so deeply about equity, believes that people can change, makes genuine efforts to advocate for better understanding of gendered violence, and ‘walks the walk’ of challenging patriarchy in his professional and private life -and is humble enough to admit to us he doesn’t always get it right. Friends, please listen in and enjoy this chat with Michael – what a guy!
